Hello There! My name is Abigail, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). I received both my Bachelor's in Psychology and my Master's in Counselor Education from the University of Kentucky. The Bluegrass State has been my home since I was adopted as an infant from China. My experience as a person of color and transracial adoptee has majorly impacted my passion and motivation to help others heal and grow from systemic, familial, and societal stressors in my therapy practice. 

 

I enjoy helping people of all ages, and I have a great deal of experience working with children & adolescents. I have worked with clients to address a variety of concerns including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Developmental Disorders, and major life changes. In my practice, I utilize evidence-based practices such as Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, IFS, CBT, DBT, and aim to collaborate with every client to tailor their treatment based on their needs, abilities, and goals. I also have a special interest in working with individuals of diverse racial/ethnic identities and the LGBTQIA+ community.

 

When I'm not in the office, I enjoy going to a pilates or yoga class, crafting of almost any kind, reading a good book, traveling and live music, and spending time with my loved ones.
