I am a board approved supervisor for LPCA licensure in Kentucky. I have experience working in community mental health and suicide risk assessment in local jails. My speciality in treatment had been oriented around DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and art-oriented interventions as my original training was as an art therapist. Since that time I have been trained in using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are and currently use all of these techniques in my practice regularly.

Individual Supervision fee $50 per session.

Sarah Hayden, MA, ATR,-BC, LPAT-S

Board Approved LPATA Supervisor

I graduated with my MA in Expressive Therapies from the University of Louisville in 1997. Since then I have worked as a therapist using art therapy as an area of specialization in a variety of settings and with a variety of populations, including residential programs, educational institutions, home-based therapy and inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. I have been supervising graduate student art therapy interns since 2001 and have been supervising Licensed Professional Art Therapy Associates (LPATAs) since 2018. Helping and supporting new art therapists through the early phases of their careers is something that I consider very important; while courses and practicums in graduate school lay a strong foundation, there is so much more to learn and experience when working in the “real world”. Some of this is unexpected and different from the perspective we had as students, which I believe makes support from an LPATA supervisor even more important.

My fee for supervision is $50/hour. Some LPATAs that I supervise have arranged for their supervision to be paid for by their employer, so this is an option as well. I encourage you to contact me with any questions or for additional information and would welcome the opportunity to work with you!
