Rebecca Wesseh, LPCA
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with extensive experience providing therapeutic services to individuals, children, and families within educational settings. The services offered encompass individual counseling for school-aged children who face challenges related to trauma, life transitions, suicidal ideation, stress, academic issues, peer relationships, and grief. I employ a trauma-informed approach and customize each therapy session to align with the specific preferences and needs of my clients. My therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Strength-Based practices, and other appropriate interventions.
“As an African American immigrant from West Africa, a first-generation college graduate, and a female clinician, I am acutely aware of the challenges, barriers, and stressors associated with navigating life in the United States. I believe in the transformative power of counseling and the importance of providing a supportive environment for individuals to share their personal narratives, which is often insufficient in minority communities. My objective is to assist clients in navigating their journeys and to offer guidance toward a constructive path forward.”
