Geraldine Santiago, Student Intern
Meet Gigi Santiago, an Intern Professional Counselor Associate and a dedicated student in the Spalding University CMHC program. Gigi holds a Master's degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and serves as a Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance. Drawing on her extensive training and her personal journey as a lung cancer survivor, wife, and mother from Louisville, Kentucky, Gigi blends traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern holistic practices to guide her clients toward transformative healing.
Her approach to wellness seamlessly integrates the mind and body, with a special emphasis on self-compassion as the foundation of inner peace and mindfulness. Gigi believes that nurturing both the physical and emotional aspects of health empowers individuals to manage stress, enhance self-awareness, and achieve profound personal growth.
As a student in Spalding University’s CMHC program, Her academic journey is guided by objectives that focus on developing a strong professional identity and understanding the multicultural dimensions of counseling. Gigi has empowered countless individuals to overcome challenges and live authentically through her work in mental health counseling and yoga. She creates a supportive environment where clients can explore their inner strengths and overcome obstacles, cultivating a balanced, healthy, and fulfilling life. Her commitment to integrating holistic practices with clinical expertise ensures that she not only supports her clients' mental health but also champions a broader vision of wellness that honors diversity, compassion, and personal empowerment.
