I am in my first year as an art therapy student at the University of Louisville. I have worked as a Graphic Designer for the past 2 years but wanted a career change. I had always had art therapy in the back of my mind since I graduated in 2018 and I finally decided to do it. I wanted to be able to help people more than I can do as a graphic designer. I like art therapy because it allows for a different way of expressing thoughts, feelings and emotions than trying to come up with the right words. I know that words can be difficult to convey and that is why I love art therapy because you don't always need words.
